8/1/2023: Dontyne at This Years MPT Show (Formerly Gear Expo) October 17-19 2023, in Detroit Michigan, and EMO Expo in Hannover September 18-23!

Dontyne will be presenting the GPS CAM system at MPT for manufacturing gears on 5-axis machine centres. The gear gear geometry and load analysis can be performed in Gear Production Suite before being issued to GPS CAM. The tool selection automatic G-code can be checked for accurate gear generation and and corrections required for better machining checked for correct roll in GPS before issuing to the the workshop. Target surface data files can be issued to the inspection equipment. We can offer compatible inspection solutions for full control of production. The system can be used for cylindrical involute helicoids (internal and external), straight bevel, spiral bevel, and hypoid.

12/1/2022: Avio/EELLC have been scheduling in-person visits to prior Avio clients/contacts over the last few weeks after exhibiting at IMTS this year. Avio ultrasonic and resistance welding equipment was received well at IMTS and there is great interest in the EV market.

11/28/2022: Dontyne, specialists in gear products for the power transmission industry, will be back at the PRI show in Indianapolis, December 8-10. Please stop by Booth 711 to learn about the latest in our gear design, manufacturing and support capabilities. We will be showcasing our new GPSCAM package, the DIGGS (Dontyne Integrated Gear Gauging System) product as well as our new hypoid design modules. These products have been developed to further bridge the gap between gear design and manufacture with multi-axis machines and part measurement equipment.

Jonathan has been at Dontyne for seven years and has progressed from applications engineer to general manager.  He oversees and works hands on with our design, manufacturing and inspection projects.  As a gear industry leader in gear metrology, Dontyne is at the forefront of developing real time gear inspection processes with feedback to design and manufacturing. Jonathan has been at the forefront of the development of Renishaw's gear measurement capabilities on their CMM and Equator machines through Dontyne's creation and supply of Gear Modus. Recently Dontyne has furthered this capability with development and integration of the DIGGS (Dontyne Intelligent Gear Gauging System) software for the Equator. Jonathan has a long and successful working relationship with Renishaw helping guide the use of Renishaw's cutting-edge measurement technology to uses within the niche but vast gear industry, utilizing Dontyne's specialized gear software.

Jonathan will be presenting virtually Wednesday November 3rd.

Dontyne will be exhibiting again at IMTS after missing the 2020 show.  It is always a great event for us with many customers and partners in the gear machining and metrology business also there. We have a new range of products and services for gear design and production:

• Hypoids on 5-axis platforms

• DIGGS systems for 100% gear inspection at low cost

• Links to SprintTM from Renishaw for on-board measurement of cylindrical and bevel gears

• Our Back-to-back test rig product with higher ratios appropriate for EV (typically 2.5:1 to 3.5:1)

Following on from our Release 5.5 in 2018, we are pleased to announce a new Sub Release for the Gear Production Suite. There are some important updates to Standards such as ISO 6336 for widespread use in our customer base, and some improvements to functionality in Beveloid design, LTCA for mixed materials, and machine simulations for Hobbing, Profile Grinding, and Skiving for use as pre-finishing process. We have introduced Honing to compliment the Skiving functionality, and a Curvic Couple design and LTCA for the aerospace industry. Use this link to access a PDF of the changes in the new release.

9/14/2020: Dontyne Gears is pleased to announce the installation and commissioning of our new Back-To-Back gear test rig. Developed in collaboration with Reece Innovation and Dontyne Systems, the initial configuration features 125mm centers at 2.5 : 3.5 ratio. The rig can be configured to test gears of various center distances and ratios based on customer requirements. In addition to standard involute gearing, the rig can evaluate the performance of design variations including materials such as PM and plastic, as well as non-involute profiles. Test programs using this equipment are being planned for several clients at this time. The results generated will be used to enhance the models of the Dontyne Systems GPS software LTCA. In addition, adding to the Dontyne Gears hardware product line, this test rig will be offered to industry with interest already received from clients in the UK, Germany and Japan.

11/20/2017:  GEAR EXPO 2017 - THANK YOU!

WOW! What a show Gear Expo was for us. We were able to show our software in connection with spiral bevel machining on a VC500 Mazak center, as well as inspection- both on board with the Renishaw SprintTM system and in-process control with the Renishaw EquatorTM. We were pleased to welcome many existing and potential clients to our booth.

Many thanks to the top management at Mazak Corp. and Renishaw for agreeing to supply the considerable resources required to make this a live display and so effective in showing the advantage of an integrated system.

Dontyne software is known for producing gear system designs quickly using our Gear Production Suite software, This display at Booth 123 showed how quickly and effectively we could create accurate designs and tooling information for CNC machines and inspection equipment.  This efficiently enabled what was previously cost prohibitive or impossible. With almost 150 leads from the week it seems we can certainly fulfil a requirement. Visitors were even more astonished to find the cost was well within budgets for production, while saving time and money, and could give ROI within weeks. 4/19/2017:

New for QuaX Pumps this year are the 8" Hydraulic submersible pump and the 2" borehole pump. These two pumps are workhorses just like the 2,3,4 and 6 inch pumps.  The 2" borehole pump will fit into incredibly narrow spaces/holes.  See the updated spec sheet below.

2/28/2017:

EELLC President Rich Easley toured the Yongcheng Group facilities, including one of the few certified material test labs in China, with Yongcheng President Mike Wang.  Yongcheng offers top quality brass/bronze/copper castings utilizing state of the art 5 axis machine centers and material test facilities.  This new relationship with Yongcheng opens a new area of supply to EELLC clients in North America.

2/20/2017:

Easley Enterprises LLC (EELLC) is a North American corporation based in Cincinnati Ohio whose principals include Halifax Rack & Screw (gear rack, pinions and lead screws), Dontyne Systems (gear design, manufacture and inspection software), Hysan Technology (castings and mining wear parts), Miradix Inc. (cost estimating and part documentation services), PVZ Gears (gear design consulting services) and QuaX Pumps (submersible hydraulic pumps).

EELLC is pleased to announce that Marcus Healy has been appointed as the North American Product Manager for QuaX Pumps effective immediately.  Rich Easley, EELLC President comments “Marc’s experience supporting Quax sales and marketing, coupled now with his hands on experience, make him the ideal candidate to lead and build on our offering of these innovative products to the North American market”. Marc adds, “This is an exciting opportunity to support and further introduce these extremely reliable and rugged hydraulic submersible pumps to our EELLC clients and market”.

Hydraulically operated pumps are extremely beneficial and convenient for many applications including construction site dewatering, mine dewatering, sludge removal, sewage removal, marsh draining and general dewatering (for example: Zoo’s often need to quickly dewater tanks and bodies of water).

Why hydraulic?  Many construction sites and areas of arduous work conditions require the use of hydraulically operated equipment such as a skid steer, backhoe, or other type of hydraulically operated equipment.  Instead of running electricity to power an electric pump, you can simply run the Quax pumps from the on-board hydraulics used in these machines.  It’s that simple.  Click – and – go .

Dontyne Systems and Mazak have agreed an exclusive collaboration to develop and market a flexible gear machining solution that combines the reputation of Mazak’s precision multi-axis CNC machine tools with Dontyne Systems’ gear production suite (GPS). The collaboration has been 2 + years in the making and has yielded proven “live-cut” gear part samples and sales to customers seeking a flexible solution.
